THE CARLTON HOTEL RENOVATES MEETING ROOMS

The Carlton Hotel has renovated their event spaces and transformed them into state-of-the-art meeting rooms in the heart of Manhattan.

The Carlton Hotel, a leading location for New York City meetings and events, has renovated their meeting spaces.  In 2008, the hotel completed a $60-million transformation by world-renowned architect David Rockwell infusing the hotel with an ultra-modern spirit while preserving the design-forward elements of the hotel’s historical aesthetic; a few of the original interior features and details remain despite the space having undergone these extensive renovations. Now, two years later the Carlton Hotel has upgraded all of their meetings spaces, transforming them into state-of-the-art rooms. 

All of the meeting rooms have been redesigned by the firm W+CO. They have been outfitted with premium audio-visual systems including ceiling-mounted projectors, mechanized screens, new speaker systems, and wireless microphones. A customized speaker's podium in each room allows for plug-n-play laptop presentations from both PC and Mac platforms.

In addition to the added technology, the Gramercy and Flatiron rooms specifically have had their palettes lightened and their lighting systems enhanced.  In addition, they are newly furnished with classic Eames-style conference chairs and adjustable lighting for use in both all-day meetings and more intimate dining events. 

With over 6,000 square feet of meeting space, the Carlton Hotel’s seven unique meeting rooms are ideal for everything from intimate business affairs to large scale corporate and social events accommodating up to 350 guests.

The hotel is located in the heart of New York City and is within walking distance to Madison Square Park , the Union Square Farmer’s Market, Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building and Fifth Avenue shopping.

MEETING AND EVENT ROOMS AT THE CARLTON

Meetings at the Carlton Hotel can be held in a classroom-style room, or chairs and tables can be rearranged to form a hollow-square, u-shape, or even a theater-like setting. For receptions or cocktail parties, rooms can be combined and set up with banquet round tables, or can be left as open space to accommodate larger events. In addition to the two recently renovated meeting rooms the Carlton also offers five other spaces.

Accommodates 80 Classroom, 100 Rounds, 40 Conference, 175 Reception.  Can be subdivided into 3 rooms plus pre-function access to a 785 square      foot lobby

 •        Gramercy – 893 square feet

Accommodates 51 Classroom, 60 Rounds, 20 Conference, 70 Reception, 55 Theatre

 •        Flatiron – 578 square feet

Accommodates 18 Classroom, 30 Rounds, 20 Conference, 40 Reception, 40 Theatre

 •        Union Square – 453 square feet 

Accommodates 22 Classroom, 40 Rounds, 20 Conference, 45 Reception, 30 Theatre

 •        Kips Bay - 401 square feet

Accommodates 15 Classroom, 30 Rounds, 16 Conference, 40 Reception, 25 Theatre
